PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains what information Glacier ("Glacier," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Glacier is operated by Andrew Irvin, doing business as VelmoLabs. Contact: support@useglacier.app.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely, hashed — we never see or store your plaintext password).
  • Business/profile information: what you tell us about your business, content experience, platform focus, and goals during onboarding.
  • Content you submit: chat messages to the AI personas, content schedule entries, channel/profile links (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), and performance numbers you log (views, likes, comments, shares).
  • SMS consent: if you opt in, we record that consent along with the phone number it applies to.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and general interaction data with the Service.
  • Cookies/session data: we use essential cookies to keep you logged in (via Supabase Auth session cookies). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the Service — authenticate you, run your AI conversations, save your content schedule and logged results, and run the scheduled team check-ins;
  • To personalize AI responses to your specific business context;
  • To send account-related email (e.g., email verification) and, if you've opted in, SMS marketing messages;
  • To maintain and improve the Service, including diagnosing bugs and understanding feature usage;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share your data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

3. AI Processing

When you chat with a Glacier persona or run a team sync, your message content and relevant profile context (business description, platform focus, goal, logged content/results) are sent to Anthropic(the maker of the Claude AI model) to generate a response. When you paste a link to auto-analyze a video's stats, that URL is sent to Firecrawl, a web-scraping service, to read the publicly visible numbers on that page. These providers process the data to return a result to you and are bound by their own privacy and data-handling terms; we select providers that do not use customer data submitted via API to train their own models.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following infrastructure providers to run Glacier. Each processes a limited slice of your data solely to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting (stores your account, content schedule, metrics, and consent records);
  • Anthropic — AI model that powers the persona chat and team sync features;
  • Firecrawl — reads publicly available page data when you ask Glacier to auto-analyze a link;
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

5. Phone Numbers & SMS Data Specifically

We collect your phone number when you sign up. If you check the SMS consent box, we additionally use that number to send marketing text messages as described in our Terms of Service. Your phone number and SMS consent status are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Opting out of SMS (replying STOP or emailing us) stops future marketing texts but does not delete your account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion (see Section 8), we delete your account record and associated data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it for legal or security purposes.

7. Cookies

Glacier uses only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

8. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & correction: you can view and edit most of your profile information directly in the app (Stats Room for channel links, onboarding answers on request).
  • Deletion: email support@useglacier.app to request full account and data deletion.
  • SMS opt-out: reply STOP to any text, or email us — honored within 10 business days, typically much faster.
  • California residents (CCPA/CPRA):you have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. Submit requests to the email above.

9. Children's Privacy

Glacier is not directed at, and is not knowingly used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, row-level access controls on our database, hashed passwords) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
